Feed-in management reduces electricity costs.

Together with a significant customer, HSW Stadtfeld has implemented an individual power management system to reduce electricity consumption in a major German city.

Ripple control receivers were installed in the masts of this city. The ripple control receivers are controlled with a signal via four relais contacts. To reduce the current of the lighting system, the following dimming levels were defined:

• 100 % no reduction
• 60 % reduction to a maximum of 60 % of output
• 30 % reduction to a maximum of 30 % of output
• 0 % reduction to 0 % of power no feed in

This feed-in management is extensively applied in the city and in neighbouring areas.
